My mother age is 65 her she is suffering pain from last 7 months taken wide range of pain killer. Her MRI report is Acute osteoporosis compression fracture of D-11 & L1 vertibralbodies. And in ultrasound dignost CLD problem kindly guide me right. She fallen down on bed before one year that time she felt pain li left shoulder it was treated. After that pain in her back and both side of stomach and leg. Kindly guide me the best. Her weight is only 39 kg. Now she is taking medicine pantocid DSR, flexura, shelcal xt, arachitol injection after 15 days, ostospray nasal spray, metadec5lac from last 1.5 month she is feel better after taking this medicine. Dr. also suggest to take PTH injection her PTH report is 26.4. Now she is feeling better her pain reduce 80%. Kindly tell me how long these medicine will take.

The patient can consider stopping NSAID (Flexura) if pain is relieved. Rest of the medications for osteoporosis will continue for some time. Inj PTH can also be considered if PTH is within normal range. You can get a baseline DEXA, if not already done and repeat it after 9-12 months to monitor improvement. She needs a brace to support her back. Also physiotherapy in form of quadriceps n hamstring stretching, assisted/ active mobilization of patient is important However, you need to see your doctor every 15-30 days to look for development of any side effects of any of these medications. Also, see a gastroenterologist for CLD. Hope it helps. Since I have not seen the patient in person, kindly consult your doctor before altering any medication/treatment.
