I have anger issues and feel depressed at times. To feel better I sometimes resort to cutting myself. Do I need to be taking any sort of pills? If so which pills can I take without a prescription?

Dear lybrate-user, Anger and cutting yourself may be due to a personality disorder called as borderline personality disorder. There can be other causes for cutting yourself. We call it as non suicidal self injury. There is no need for any pill unless you are clinically depressed. But you need to consult a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist for assessment and therapy. You are young and you will have better quality of life with therapy.
