I am 80 years old and type2 diabetic with bp controlled by medicine I also suffer from chronic kidney diseases can I take ultracet when I have joint pain?

Joint supplements if after all this you still have pain then +dolo 650 twice a day even after that if you have pain then ultracet half tab twice a day ultracet has a side effect of constipation so might have to eat fibre rich diet and drink plenty of water.

Ultracet (tramadol) is least toxic to renal tissue. Take it only when there is no way out.

Ultracet can be taken. But here I like to recommend you paracetamol 650 mg, which is more safe.

Hello lybrate-user. Sorry to hear about your medical conditions. Ultracet has paracetamol and tramadol- a combination of nsaid and opiate. Tramadol has better safety profile for patients with kidney dysfunction. Studies have shown it to be safer than other higher nsaids which can have renal toxic effects. Still be cautious of your intake as opiates have their own set of side effects like constipation and are habit forming. Please consult your doctor before taking these medications.
