Hello sir, i am 22 years old. I am looking like having slightly inclined lower and upper jaw (down on right side. I looked perfect when I was a kid than now. I am having one extra teeth on upper jaw is it a problem with that or I am having any jaw irregularities?

consult a orthodontist let him check the occlusion n u may require braces extra tooth may have to b removed

Hi lybrate-user. If possible I would like to see the photograph of your smile as well as your teeth. Sometimes our jaw size remains small as compared to our teeth size so sometimes canine teeth seem to be out of the jaws or outside as compared to other teeth. Every person has two sets of teeth in their lifetime. Each set of teeth is of a different shape and size based on genetics and to conform to the shape of the face. Usually around the age of 12, the mouth has some teeth of both temporary and permanent teeth and the alignment of teeth usually seems irregular. But with age, this mostly changes to a straight arrangement with the exception being narrow jaw size due to which the teeth do not align properly, (or) any habits that a person may possess which derange the position of the teeth like thumb sucking or mouth breathing. Now that your age is 22, it is most likely that the teeth will not align to a straight line on it's own. A most probable choice of treatment would be to opt for orthodontic treatment which may involve the removal of a tooth or a few teeth. But it solely depends if you really require that the teeth be aligned. Because if it is not causing you any harm, then you may keep your teeth as they are.
