Bipolar disorder is a illness characterised by either episodes of mania or depression.(hence it's called bi-polar). A person suffering from bipolar can have either an episode of mania or depression or a mixed episode at any given time. From the symptoms that you have described it looks like you are currently undergoing an episode of mania. It looks like you have not been properly treated earlier. An antidepressant (in your case rexipra) should not be given as it may worsen symptoms of mania. The right treatment of mania is a mood stabiliser medication. A mood stabiliser will calm and stabilise your mood. And all the symptoms that you have been having will go away. Upon taking correct treatment your symptoms will improve within 10 days. However you will have to continue treatment for atleast 2 years if you want to maintain balance in your life. About having trouble with family, it's because of your illness. It's not you. Once you are better they will realise that. Everything will be alright with the right medicine. Don't worry. Please contact me or any psychiatrist for proper detailed explanation of your illness and for right medications.
