I'm having sensitivity and slight pain in my wisdom tooth which is decaying and 1/4th of it is broken so the dentist advised me to remove the tooth and it will leave a stitch behind as the roots of my tooth are not perfectly vertical. So is the advice given by the dentist the right choice or do I have any other better option?

You should get an opg done. This will help evaluate the amount of decay, the position of your tooth roots as well as proximity of the roots to the underlying nerve. Then the decision can be taken whether to get it removed or not. Kindly consult an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the same.
