I would like to know in more detail. Have you tested in empty stomach? Increased lipid profile has increased chances of heart attack and other vessle blockage. The medication is a lipid lowering agent but it alone might not be sufficient. You will need to weight loss and diet and lifestyle modification. Text consult if you still have any doubts.

It should, but more importantly you should focus on diet and exercise as well. Cut carbs from your diet, avoid sugar as much as possible, and try to get at least 150 minutes per week of moderate intensity exercise. If your weight is high, you should aim at reducing that as well.
