Dear lybrate-user, if you are overweight then being very strict with diet exercising regularly (walking about 5 km per day) and bringing your weight down to ideal body weight will lower triglycerides. Strict avoidance of alcohol, restricting carbohydrates in the diet and increasing protein intake will help. If you manage to get your weight down to ideal body weight you may not need the tablet

Hello, Thanks for the query. Tablet Saroglitazor used for T2 DM and high TGL can be continued if required. Or when TGL level returns to expected number, one may change if required. In case of blood glucose, that tablet alone may not be effective for strict glucose control. thanks.
