I am a male of 50 years having pain in lower back and hip joint of the right side. Due to work schedule I need to sit long hours on the chair. I am non-diabetic, non-hypertensive, non-smoker and non-alcoholic. I do light exercises like walking and Pranayam also. I have not taken any medical advice on this problem till now. Kindly advise me.

Avoid sitting for a long time at one place, if you are doing yoga it is well and good, but also include stretching exercises, and some exercises like lying on back and and raising leg. It is due to constant pressure over lower back while sitting. If problem still persists you may need medicines. Contact for any query.

according ur age do X-Ray. and tk hot fermentation and avoid toward bending. tk soft pillow for back support. keep equal balance on pelvic. posture correction must. if pain is severe then do physiotherapy treatment its sciatica pain do spine stretching and leg stretching exercise

Hello, Mr. Ramanuj, As your age is fifty the process of calcium formation get decreased.. that's why there will be pain & aches.so,take food that is good in calcium like milk & milk products,banana,sprouts.avoid sour,fermented and food that contains preservatives.do walking Dail at least for half to one hour. Avoid oversetting at one place .take 5min break at every hour

This pain might just be due to postural problem. Right posture can go a long way. 1. Use a small cushion placed behind your lumbar spine while you sit. Sit with a backrest. 2. Start some lower back strengthening exercises if the problem persists. Please consult someone. Hope you get well soon.
