You have not mentioned the complete report of entire cholesterol profile and BP levels of your mother, Please share that so that we can understand if she will require just lifestyle changes or a combination of medicine & lifestyle changes. For cholesterol derangement and high BP, the first line of management is diet change, introduction of daily exercise in your routine. For diet please take a detailed diet consult with a dietitan for low fat and low salt diet, eat fruits and vegetables and avoid fried, junk food or high sugary food like sweets and desserts. Decrease caffeine and cola product consumption. Exercise daily for 40 mins like brisk walking, yoga or jogging etc. And if she is overweight try to loose weight using diet and exercise. After 6 weeks of the precautions please repeat your tests, if still high, consult a doctor for starting cholesterol and BP lowering medicines in addition to these precautions.
