Hello, Thanks for the query. One thing is not clear whether the person asking the question is a man or woman. Secondly with fasting glucose at 215 mg, there is very severely uncontrolled diabetes. This needs urgent treatment with appropriate drugs. Cholesterol 214 mg, is not such an issue. More important is LDL cholesterol level, which is not mentioned. TGL 170 mg is also fine. So apart from fasting please check PP glucose & HbA1c% as that will give a clearer idea about severity of diabetes and treatment that one needs to start. Another important aspect is that apart from anti-diabetes drugs, it is necessary to look at the dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, weight & height. Because drugs are just one part of the treatment. Strict diet control and regular exercise with near normal weight maintenance is more important. I hope understand what I have written here. You are too young to ignore all these aspects. If you have any questions lease do come back. Thanks.
